Taiji Study Circle: Exploring Principles Series
Description
Taiji Study Circle: Progression
Exploring the principles of learning and development in Chen Taijiquan
How do we progress in Taijiquan? What changes as our understanding deepens, and how do the different aspects of training come together over time?
In this special edition of our Taiji Study Circle, we will explore the idea of progression in Chen Taijiquan, drawing on selected passages and concepts from Nabil Ranné's new book, Chen Taijiquan: Foundations and Practice Across Generations.
Rather than following a fixed curriculum, we will take some time to reflect on how skills develop, how training methods relate to one another, and how our understanding of familiar principles can change through continued practice.
As usual, the session will be interactive and open to discussion. We will read selected passages, explore their meaning, and connect the ideas to our own training experiences. Where useful, we may also include short practical exercises.
You do not need to have read or purchased the book to participate. The relevant material will be introduced during the session.
